"Sun of the City" is a project to make a sundial as a wall painting using existing constructions in urban spaces.
In Guangzhou, I have used a wall of the abandoned former railroad company in 53 Museum, which is facing East, and a plant pot rack leaving on the veranda on the 3rd floor of the building. The shadow of the plant pot rack moves from the upper side to the lower side, on the right side curve when the Winter Solstice, on the left side curve when the Summer Solstice, and on the center straight line when the Vernal Equinox and Autumn Equinox.
